You’ve supported us and prayed for us, so come hear what we did! The 2024 Youth Mission Trip team will be giving a short presentation on Sunday, July 7, after worship. We’ll tell stories and show some pictures of our amazing week being the hands and feet of Jesus in Louisville. We look forward to seeing you!
All youth in grades 6th through 12th (inclusive) are invited to join us for Youth Group on Sunday, July 7 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We’ll meet in the youth room here at OCCUMC. In addition to regular activities, we have been invited to learn how to help make sleeping mats out of plastic bags.
Going to Pieces(GTP) is a diverse group of sewers, quilters, knitters, crocheters, embroiderers that love to create beautiful things. We are blessed with talents that help us make items for craft fairs, missions, layettes with a goal of reaching out and helping communities nearby and worldwide. Please join us!
The Merry Mat Makers are making sleeping mats from plastic grocery bags Tuesdays at 6:00 PM and Thursdays at 10 AM in L09, the Loom Room downstairs. Making the mats is easy and open to all ages and abilities. We'll show you what to do. You can try weaving which requires standing, or you can sit and fold, cut and tie bags.
Who doesn’t love having a good place to recycle their bags? There is a collection box in the Friendship Room for clean, dry, empty grocery bags. This is a way for those to help, who can't join us but can donate bags.

We welcome those who are interested in keeping our church beautiful throughout the year, inside and out. The summer of 2020 the Blooming Garden team worked with memorial monies to create a place to sit with God west of the front door. We invite you to come and pray.
