It feels like we just got back from our 2024 youth mission trip, and already we’re looking ahead to Summer 2025. That’s because youth mission is more than just going on a trip – it’s also about planning and building the experience together. Please join us in the OCCUMC Youth Room on Sunday, September 15 at 1PM if you are or know of a youth in grade 6ththrough 12th who might be interested in our 2025 mission trip. No commitment is required at this time, but we will start looking at ideas. Questions? Contact Alex at arc_332@att.net.

Have you ever had the opportunity to see our United Methodist camps in the most colorful season of the year? This could be your chance! All youth in grades 6th through 12th (inclusive) are invited to join us for an overnight at Pine Lake Camp on Saturday, October 19 through Sunday, October 20. We will play games, watch movies, and experience the beauty of God’s creation all around us. Cost for this event is $35. Please contact Alex Clement-Reichling at arc_332@att.net no later than September 30 if you are interested in joining us.
Going to Pieces(GTP) is a diverse group of sewers, quilters, knitters, crocheters, embroiderers that love to create beautiful things. We are blessed with talents that help us make items for craft fairs, missions, layettes with a goal of reaching out and helping communities nearby and worldwide. Please join us!
The Merry Mat Makers are making sleeping mats from plastic grocery bags Tuesdays at 6:00 PM and Thursdays at 10 AM in L09, the Loom Room downstairs. Making the mats is easy and open to all ages and abilities. We'll show you what to do. You can try weaving which requires standing, or you can sit and fold, cut and tie bags.
Who doesn’t love having a good place to recycle their bags? There is a collection box in the Friendship Room for clean, dry, empty grocery bags. This is a way for those to help, who can't join us but can donate bags.

We welcome those who are interested in keeping our church beautiful throughout the year, inside and out. The summer of 2020 the Blooming Garden team worked with memorial monies to create a place to sit with God west of the front door. We invite you to come and pray.
